New Paradigms in Breastfeeding

Laws for Nursing Mothers
Purpose
La Leche League's mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed
through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and
education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an
important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
This seminar is designed to enable participants to apply learning
principles to clinical practice, to develop strategies for assisting
mothers and babies to overcome feeding difficulties, and to obtain a
broader knowledge of the management of breastfeeding.
Continuing Education Credits
La Leche League International is an approved provider of continuing
nursing
education by the Illinois Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the
American Nurses Credentialing
Center's Commission
on Accreditation. This activity will offer a maximum of 8.0 Contact Hours
for RNs from that accrediting body.
La Leche League of Colorado/Wyoming has also applied for 8 CERP hours from
the International Board of Lactation Examiners and 8 Colorado Dietetic
Association education hours.
Membership
Membership in La Leche League is $40.00 annually. Your membership
supports our worldwide efforts, and includes a subscription to New
Beginnings, LLLI’s bi-monthly publication of breastfeeding and
parenting information. Other benefits include a 10% discount on most
purchases from LLLI catalogues, and mailings of current breastfeeding,
parenting, and professional information from LLLI.
